PREPAID WATER

Telbit was one of the founding pioneers of prepaid water metering in South Africa, providing solutions from as early as 1994. Today our range of prepaid water products is integrated & distributed by two of the biggest water meter manufacturers in South Africa named Elster Kent (Part of Honeywell) and Sensus (Part of Xylem).

The Standard Transfer Specification (STS) is an internationally accepted IEC open standard for prepaid electricity, water and gas, ensuring interoperability between vending platforms and utility meters from different manufacturers. 

 

Sigfox is a low cost, low power network specifically designed for water meters, sensors and other battery powered devices. The network covers 90% of the South African residential market. Sigfox allows utilities and management companies to register and track the performance of their prepaid meters on-line, without the need to install and maintain expensive Data Consentrators and Gateways.

FIELD MAINTENANCE TERMINAL

The Field Maintenance Terminal is a Windows based application running on a PC or laptop to perform remote diagnostic interrogation and configuration on the PWC100 & PWC200 Prepaid Water Controllers.
